i really miss my primary school days!

i remember,

we had the same senior buddy to show us around
we ate our lunchboxes, stood by the carpark and sang
we sang A Whole New World
we cried while listening to If We Hold On Together, lyrics rewritten
we loved to colour xmas cards and fold papers
we climbed the pole in the school bus, and i got scolded
we hid at the last row eating our fave fried chicken
we caught butterflies, and you guys placed insects in sharpeners
we played ice and water
we loved to walk the 3 sections of single file
we climbed the walls and pillars while waiting for the bus
we drank rainwater and played in the rain
we challenged who could write the fastest during 習字
we played silly games across the room, and you always made me laugh

you made me cry, even got your mum to scold me
you squeezed my fingers til they hurt
you were the first person i ran away from
you irritated me and i kinda hated you for it

and then,

you made me understand what it means to miss someone so terribly
i tried to hang on to the past while adapting to the present
you helped me move on
we sang, alot
we played five stones, hopscotch
we talked on the phone everyday, wrote letters, although we were sitting side by side
we fell for the same person
we sat together
we gave each other presents
we played truth or dare, murderer
we had a class farewell party singing Graduation, Friends Forever

you were my student buddy
you made me feel like a jerk for hurting you
you told them to stay away from me
you made me realise who were my true friends, and how mean you can be
you gave me something to look forward to each day
you sang me a birthday song during HCL lesson
you distracted me so much that my mid-year took a nosedive
you let me understand what it really takes to be Best Friends Forever

it has been the greatest 6 years ever.
those were the days when we played, we screamed, we laughed and we cried together.
those were the months i discovered how much God loves me
those were the years of my childhood i hold so dear
it's amazing, how these relationships have turned out after 10 over years.
how the people i loved have crossed my paths in other ways
how the person i hated is one of the few i am still in contact with
thanks for being part of my life.
